This red-tailed hawk misjudged a small tree as being a suitable perch. Nothing seemed to work, branches were small and poky, never allowed wings to fold correctly, adjusting this way and that didn’t help. Finally, the bird gave up and flew to a less difficult place on the ground with solid rocks and without sharp, poky branches.
