Although I’m not a “bird photographer” or a birder, birds are part of the landscape in which I live. Egrets feed in the wetlands, ospreys nest on the cranes and gantries in the industrial part of Mare Island, owls in palm trees, ducks and geese on the water, etc. So, I photograph them when I can, delighting in witnessing them going about their lives.
