Being given about two weeks’ notice to get an exhibit ready I told the manager that the subject matter would be industrial rust. “Industrial rust?” he queried, first time he’d questioned my choice in my years of exhibiting at The Faculty Club. It was what I was working on at the time so industrial rust it was and worked out very well.
